Looking for a rental, tenant, or roommate in Toronto? Posting is free for all THZ members. We prioritize affordable, dignified, and legal rentals in Toronto.

Volunteers manually screen all posts and profiles to keep Toronto Home Zone safe and trusted. Reviews take time; please only message our Admin Page for technical issues or to report suspicious/sketchy behaviour.

POSTING REQUIREMENTS

All approved posts appear in the Facebook group and this website. To ensure approval:

  • Privacy: By posting, you agree to our Information Use Policy →.
  • Restrictions: Posts with phone numbers or business self-promotion will be declined.
  • Format: Use the copyable template below exactly.

REQUIRED POSTING RULES

Every post and profile is reviewed for safety. To avoid being declined, you must follow these rules:

  • Constraints: Rentals must be located within Toronto (Etobicoke, City of Toronto, York, North York, East York, Scarborough). Post from a personal profile (no Pages/Anonymous).
  • Affordability: Must fit the Rent Cap Guide → and be 28+ days.
  • Legal: Use template exactly. Follow RTA/Human Rights laws. Only tenants can post short-term rentals as we don't have the capacity to manage Toronto's specific STR laws for owners.
  • Photos: Original photos of bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen required.
