CREATIVE HOUSING SECURITY
The Rent Collection
Artists face a 'double-squeeze' in Toronto’s rental market: rents they can’t afford and applicant vetting systems that treat their work as a risk.
The Rent Collection is a movement to stop the eviction of Toronto’s culture.
We curate a handful of seasonal Toronto artists and provide a platform for international exposure and direct art sales, helping creators stay in their neighbourhoods while bringing local life into your home.
Every cent goes towards their rent.
Why TOHS?
We have a community of 149k members (50K active/month), and this TOHS site sees 2,600 new unique users a month. These aren’t random views; it's a high-intent audience of renters and housing providers. We have a unique opportunity to turn that attention into support for renters who cotribute to the livelihood of this city.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Housing stability is the core of our work at TOHS; this pilot deepens that mission. People deserve to turn those spaces into homes that reflect them. By connecting our audience with creators, we’re making local art a tool for local survival.
